Kasha's
5th Annual
Experimental
Dance/Theater
Showcase
2012 - "Tell Me A Story"
Kasha's Belly Dance
What is an experimental
dance/theater showcase?
It's a chance to perform
that dance that doesn't fit
at a regular hafla.
It's a chance to try
that wacky idea that's been
at the back of your brain.
It's an opportunity to show us
your "other" hobby - whether it
is hooping, knife throwing,
juggling, singing or dog training.
HIstory of the Experimental:

It started as a chance to do belly dance to alternative
music. It has morphed into something bigger and better.
Now we present not only belly dance but other forms of
performance art.

Previous shows have seen: puppets, magic, ventriloquism,
burlesque, poi, black light, rubber chickens, drunks, knife
throwing, hooping, klazmer, clogging, zumba, and
too-wierd-to-describe dances.

This year's show  promises to be better than ever.

This year's show asks performers
to come up with a story line
for their act.
"Tell Me A Story" means
"entertain me". It can be about
anything from cowboys to aliens.
It is up to the MC to weave these
stories together to fit
the overall ambiance of
Scheherezade's 1,001 Tales.
