What is an experimental

showcase? It's a chance to
perform that dance that doesn't
fit at a regular hafla. It's a
chance to try that wacky idea
that's been at the back of your
brain.

HIstory of the Experimental:
Kasha requires her students to perform their first few solos to Middle
Eastern music before venturing into American or other world dance
music. As a result her dancers wanted a place and a time to do those
alternative dances. Thus the Experimental was born.
Previous shows have seen: puppets, burlesque, poi, black light,
rubber chickens, drunks, klazmer, and too wierd to describe dances.
This year's show promises to be better than ever.
